Dryopteris wallichiana AGM is a deciduous hardy fern with erect fronds of dark green. The fronds are lance/shuttlecock-shaped and are yellow-green when young. Midribs are covered in brown or black scales in the spring which glow in sunlight. Approx. 90 cm x 75 cm spread. Best in a sheltered site in a humus rich soil in full/part-shade. Provides a habitat for small mammals & foraging birds.
