Geranium sanguineum 'Album' AGM is an easily grown, deciduous herbaceous perennial which will grow in an exposed or sheltered position. Very hardy down to - 20 C. Pure white, saucer-shaped flowers up to 4 cm across in late spring into summer over dark green leaves. Leaves turn yellow, rust & red in autumn. Approx. 30 cm x 60 cm spread. Any reasonable soil in sun/part-shade. Can also grow in a hot, dry, sunny site & is drought resistant once established. Cut off dead flower stems & leaves to encourage a continued flowering.
Good at the front of the border, rock garden or pot or beneath Hydrangeas, or near Euphorbias. Also goes well with Erigeron karvinskianus & Nepeta. Attractive to butterflies & bees.
