Kniphofia 'Poco Red' is a compact, clump forming, deciduous, herbaceous perennial with spikes of tubular coral-red flowers from midsummer to early autumn. Approx. 35 cm tall x 35 cm.. Any reasonable, deep moist but well-drained soil in sun. Will tolerate part-shade but flowers best in sun. Drought resistant. Deer & rabbit resistant. Loved by bees & butterflies. Remove dead flowers to encourage repeat flowering. Foliage can suffer in winter so can be cut down in autumn.

Looks good planted with Helenium, Hemerocallis & Rudbeckia. Can be planted in the border, by water edges & looks good in naturalistic planting schemes.
