Lobelia x speciosa 'Hadspen Purple' (PBR) is a clump forming perennial. Stunning deep purple velvety flowers in late summer. Dark green foliage. Approx. 1m tall. Ideal for the back of the border. Any reasonably fertile, moist soil in sun or part-shade. Cut off flower spikes after flowering before seed is set to encourage new growth to get plant through the winter. This variety is not attractive to slugs.

An ideal combination is with one of the Hydrangea paniculata varieties for a super late season splash of colour in a shady situation.
