Solidago rugosa 'Fireworks' or golden rod has very long, dark slender stems of yellow that sway in any breeze. Green foliage. Flowering time August-October giving colour later in the season. Ideal in any hot border. A tall grower at approx. 1.3m so lovely at the back of your border or mixed with shrubs soit doesn't need staking. Easily grown in any reasonable soil in sun or part-shade.
