Magnolia stellata 'Jane Platt' AGM is an American raised variety of stellata with twice as many tepals as stellata 'Rosea'. grows to approx. 2.5 m x 2.5 m spread in 10-20 years. Spectacular large, double, fragrant light-pink flowers with long narrow petals are produced in early/mid-spring. Hardy but needs shelter from cold winds. Any reasonably moist but well-drained alkaline soil in sun/part-shade.
