Eupatorium or Eutrochium 'Red Dwarf' Loved by pollinators
Eupatorium 'Red Dwarf' (Atropurpureum Group) is a hardy, deciduous perennial producing dark purple-pink flowers in late summer. It has the same flowers as its taller relatives but is shorter in stature at approx. 1.25 cm x 50 cm spread. Easily grown & tolerant of all soils which are moisture retentive in sun/part-shade.
It clumps up quickly & so it is a good idea to divide the plant every other year. Loved by butterflies & other pollinators so brilliant for wildlife gardens. Leave the clump standing at the end of the flowering season until spring so that both yourselves & birds can enjoy the seed heads during the winter months.
