Magnolia 'Emperor' PBR
Magnolia 'Emperor' PBR is a hybrid Magnolia bred in New Zealand & is named Emperor because of its large, regal dark pink & purple flowers in late spring so often misses the frosts & re-flowers in summer. Profuse, goblet-shaped flowers appear on bare branches & often measure 25-30 cm across. Long flowering often re-flowering in summer. Will tolerate most moist but well-drained soils in sun. Shelter from winds. Mulch in spring on dry soils. Up to 5 m x 3.5 m spread when mature.
